II . PROGRAMS AND TRAINING PERIOD

1 . Overview

Information Technology Faculty is one of seven departments that were first established. Faculty training contains Information Technology (IT) and telecommunication. After nearly 20 years of training, faculty becomes one of the most trusted, reputable training centre.  Information technology faculty is considered as one of the key faculties and equipped up-to-date and latest infrastructure for technology purposes.

Basically - Modernisation - Practice is the faculty’s key training. The content of the training programs is regularly updated to keep track with the development of technology and recruitment needs of society. Many new achievements of science and technology in the field of IT and Telecommunication are timely updates on training programs.

Faculty focuses on organizational work abilities and practical skills of students during training programs. The percentage of practice time dominates approximately half of training hours in total. Thanks to this, professional skills of students are constantly being improved.

Faculty has four computer labs with more than 100 computers, also contains local network connection and Internet to meet the needs of students.

Improving general and academic english are considered to be important one that will measure the training quality

In cooperation with the Research Institutes, Academies, Universities, popular companies in the field of IT is considered as key elements to gather trusted lecturers, researchers, mentors for guiding students. Many experts are from the Vietnam National Univerisy, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Military Technical Academy, Information Technology Insitution and other companies such as AIC, VDC, FPT, MILSOFT, MICROSOFT VN ... have collaborated in faculty training system for many years.

Until now, Faculty has done with 14 courses with 3042 engineers. Most of them get a stable job after graduation. Others go on to study at the higher education level, and has earned master's degree and PhD in educational institutes at home and abroad. Many of them become key officers, experts in IT field of government agencies or become software engineers or business owners operating in the field of IT.

- Business owners operating in the field of IT.

- Applying the technology in electronics industry, health, military, multi-service telecommunication services.

- Application of new technology in the Computing Services, Information and Telecommunications, Automatic Control

- Application of Basic Electronics engineering, Computer Science in the field of Telecommunications, Aerospace, Automation, Control, Measurement.

11. Achievements :

IT Faculty always focuses on the comprehensive development of students so faculty creates the favourable conditions for the activities of Youth Union and students clubs. Students of IT faculty has participated in scientific research activities, Olympic IT, Mathematic, Physics nationwide, earned 3 awards in “ICT Competition” with  disabilities support software. Besides that, students also join other activities such as voluntary service, blood donation,…  Through these activities, many students have become union officials and were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam, granted certificate.
