According to a survey published in 2001 by FIFA, there are more than 240 million people regularly playing football in more than 200 countries. Vietnam is one of countries in Southeast Asia having the most powerful football movement; the number of fans of the ' king of sports" is up to millions. Therefore, students in HDIU are not exception.

That's the reason why the annual football league is organized on 22/4 -19 / 5 by the Youth Union and Student Committee. This league have the participation of football talent in HDIU. If the boys burn out on the field with the ball, the girls in HDIU are the most enthusiastic and loyal fans. The league in HDIU is not only an ordinary football league but also an event which builds, maintains and develop's friendship among students in the university.
